Denver Broncos star Tyler Badie was removed from the field after suffering a back injury during Sunday’s NFL game.

There was speculation on social media after a running back was boarded and removed from the game before the start of the second quarter against the New York Jets.

Slow motion replays showed Badie landing awkwardly on his head and neck after a hard hit from Jets’ Quincy Williams. He walked off the field but then appeared to collapse, prompting coaches, medical staff and teammates to rush to his aid on the sideline. He was then secured on a board, transferred to a cart, and then taken out of the field.

The Broncos announced that Badie had suffered a back injury and his return was questionable, and ruled him out of the game.

The club has not received any further information on his condition.

Earlier this week, the Broncos player joined the active roster from the practice squad. After signing with Baltimore’s practice squad, he is entering his third season in Denver in 2022.
