Apart from the city’s woes with potholes that have appeared on the roads over the past few weeks, another stretch of road collapsed after rains in Lucknow on Sunday. A road collapse was reported in Geetapalli area of ​​the city.

Resident Anand Nigam, highlighting the deteriorating condition of roads in the area, said they were unsafe.

Over the past two months, road sections have collapsed in key areas, including near Lucknow University (LU) and Vikas Nagar.

Municipal commissioner Inderjit Singh said that the Geetapalli road, which may have suffered a sewage leak, would be repaired soon.

PWD, Jal Sansthan and Jal Nigam officials also inspected the place.
