Police say the patrol car had its hazard lights on at the time of the crash.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Perry police cruiser was struck from behind Friday while directing traffic on I-75 at the 136 exit overpass.

According to a post on FacebookAt the time of the accident the police car had its hazard lights on.

“Please watch out for emergency vehicles while driving and CHANGE!” the post read. “This vehicle had all its hazard lights on and still rear-ended it. Please drive carefully!”

Police have not released any injuries or charges. We have reached out for more information.

The Georgia Department of Transportation says that A crash on Interstate 75 south Friday afternoon near mile marker 136 blocked two lanes and the shoulder. All lanes are now reopened.
