Visakhapatnam: Three people died in separate, freak accidents in north Andhra district.
According to police, the 50-year-old man identified as S Sanyasi Rao drowned in the tank into which he fell while washing his hands at Pativadapalem under Etcherla mandal Srikakulam district. A case was registered and the body was transported for autopsy.
In another incident, 60-year-old K Verayya was killed when a part of the wall of his house collapsed on him at Relliveedhi in Saravakota mandal in Srikakulam district. Police said Verayya was staying in an old house that was built over four decades ago. The mud walls of the house weakened due to water seepage and collapsed on him.
In the third incident, 35-year-old M Sateesh died when he was swept away by a stream near Chandrampeta under Gantyada mandal in Vizianagaram district. Police said Sateesh and his wife Varalakshmi were on their way to Chandalur when they were swept away by the stream. While locals managed to rescue Varalakhmi, rescue teams pulled out Sateesh’s body from the water and shifted it for post-mortem.
